Frame the Story

Objective

The R Collection by Raymond Vineyards celebrates the intersection of art and curiosity, uniting wine and fine art in a shared language of creativity. Our objective was to design a digital experience that honors this fusion. Each wine is not just a blend of vineyards and varietals, but also of imagery and interpretation. The website needed to act as both a gallery and a guide—educating visitors, sparking visual connection, and elevating the experience beyond product browsing. The challenge was to create a space that feels immersive and sophisticated while maintaining Raymond’s distinctive accessibility and warmth.

Solution

We designed the R Collection website as an intersection of art and enology. A digital gallery where wines are experienced visually before they are understood textually. The layout uses generous white space, clean framing, and painterly tones to showcase each label’s artwork as a focal point, allowing visitors to appreciate the art’s texture, light, and symbolism before exploring tasting notes or vineyard origins.

Each varietal page functions like a curated exhibition: the artwork leads the narrative, and the wine deepens it. Labels are presented as framed pieces within the interface, supported by storytelling that connects visual inspiration with terroir, varietal character, and winemaking philosophy. The structure encourages a natural flow between image and interpretation—inviting users to explore the emotional and sensory dialogue between what they see and what they taste.

The typography and sitemap reinforce this approach, measured, confident, and quiet enough to let each bottle’s story unfold on its own. The result is a digital platform that feels cinematic yet understated, transforming R Collection into an online experience that reflects Raymond’s enduring belief: wine is not only made to be tasted, but to be felt and seen.
