Born in Paso Robles, this premium spirits brand channels the timeless charm of early 1900s typography — when craft and character were everything. We built the brand from the ground up, creating labels, packaging, collateral, and a website that pour equal parts heritage and modern refinement into every detail.

A Label Narrative

Bethel Road is a craft spirits house rooted in Paso Robles, California. They are built on heritage, hands-on distillation, and a belief in thoughtful small-batch expression. Our work began with a simple intention: create a visual world that feels authentic to the craft while honoring the artistry and history of the brand.

We drew inspiration from early-1900s typography and print traditions; whether that was character-driven type or structured layouts. Each label was meant to carry the weight of the era’s printmaking sensibility, modernized with contemporary balance and clarity.

To differentiate each spirit within the series, we developed a color-coded system paired with distinct, flavor-driven illustrations. These illustrations were hand-created by our Priscilla, whose detailed, expressive style brought personality and narrative to the spirits. Foil accents, embossing, silkscreen printing, and a custom cigar-band overlay further add layers of tactility, allowing the packaging to feel collected and intentional in the hand.

The Grappa-based releases receive an elevated treatment, featuring a paired label and cigar band, along with a handwritten tag sealed in wax.

The Bethel Road identity was crafted to feel personal and lived-in, blending historical influence with a modern sensibility. From brand development through packaging, collateral, and website, the result is a spirits brand that feels intentional and unmistakably handcrafted.
