Redefining the Estate

When Vina Robles approached us, the goal was clear: honor the winery’s legacy while creating labels that felt elevated and intentional. As a storied Paso Robles estate, the brand has long been rooted in a sense of place, built around its iconic oak trees and the generous spirit of the region. Our task was to build upon that foundation with restraint, clarity, and a renewed point of view.

The project began by re-examining the oak tree as a piece of living history and identity. Illustrated by our Viktorija, the oak tree was redrawn to feel both timeless and alive: intricate line work, balanced form, and a character that reflects strength without heaviness. From there, we explored how this emblem could take on dimensional life through materials and finishes.

The result is a sculptural expression: raised embossing that catches light, layered foil that glows, subtle ink overprint that adds depth and shadow. These details create a tactile presence that feels good in the hand and rewards a closer look.

Color and balance also guided the broader label creation process. The collection is distinguished by black and white label variations, with the typography working in harmony with the illustration. The Arborist, a flagship wine with its own identity, steps forward with a boldly scaled tree and radiant gold accents, reflecting both its importance within the portfolio and its role as a symbol of stewardship and renewal.

Throughout the project, the design avoids ornament for ornament’s sake. Every choice, from foil tone to paper texture, was made to support a brand that values authenticity and longevity. The result is a collection that speaks with the calm authority of a winery that knows who it is, honors where it comes from, and welcomes what’s next.
